Blogging has not been on my radar lately.  It makes me sad that I’m not getting to share all of the fun happenings in our lives.  But it also make me happy that we have been staying so busy with friends, parties, house projects, little trips, and just enjoying getting through the last of this summer heat!  Here is a short recap of our recent activities:
Some of our favorite friends brought us the the spray park for the very first time.  What has been my deal?  Why hadn’t we tried it before?  It was so much fun!
One of those mini-trips I was referring to… Kurt took a flight out to Phoenix to pick up his new car!  We were so blessed by Great Grandma Wood to give us such a great car.  Ava’s words: “it’s soft, it’s quiet,it’s bigger, and it’s cool!”  We agree!

And finally, our little project that has been occupying evenings, weekends and most importantly date nights! If Date Night has been this much fun working on our deck, I can’t wait to experience them on a finished deck with somewhere to sit that isn’t in the dirt and somewhere to set our beers that isn’t on the sawhorse!
So, did anyone see this↑ situation in the Golden Pride parking lot on Juan Tabo last Saturday?
So, we headed off to Lowe’s to pick up all of our Trex boards and we loaded them in the truck.  We attempted driving ever so slowly home.  A split second before the above picture happened I yelled for Kurt to pull over.  He did and our entire load of Trex slid out on the street. So let’s recap: we loaded 20 16 foot Trex boards (45 pounds each) onto our cart at Lowe’s (and then rallied many men throughout the store to help us push our cart to the checkout), then loaded them into the truck. After they slid out (above) we put them back in, eventually realizing that that same thing was probably going to happen again, so we unloaded them into the street again. Finally, we figured out that we could stick them through the cab window into the truck, so we loaded them up again, got home safely and unloaded them to our backyard.  That’s six loads and unloads in 2 hours.  Needless to say, we did NOT do any further work on the deck that day!
Happy 3rd Birthday Thomas!  Happy 1st Birthday Peter!
Seeing The Bigfoot Election on the big screen in a completely packed theater was so awesome!  This film that the most talented Ryan Turri shot and directed is making a serious run.  It has been selected for the Albuquerque Film Festival, the White Sands International Film Festival, and the Hollywood Film Festival.
Side-note: Asper Kourt’s first ever music video has also been selected for the Albuquerque Film Festival this coming weekend… If you’re there be sure and check it out!
